I am committed to making this policy as clear as possible, so if you have any questions or concerns you can send me a message using the form below, or contact me via email email@example.com, or phone / text 07743 855 837.
Your privacy is extremely important to me, and all information you share with me will be managed in a way that is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This website is hosted by Go Daddy, and my email newsletters are also managed via Go Daddy.
Cookies are small data files which track visitors movements around a website. If you click 'accept & close' then behavioural data, e.g. page clicks, will be tracked and the pop up message will close. If you click 'decline & close' there will be no tracking and the pop up message will close, but you will still be able to use the site. If you don't click either button then the pop up message will stay on the screen and you will still be able to use the site, and there will be no tracking. Advanced tracking, which would add cookies to your browser, is not currently enabled.
I don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or Facebook Meta Tag on this website. I will never include third party adverts on my website. I might collect statistics on whether you open an email and click on links in that email.
If you send me a message via the website I will receive your email address and any other information you include in the form. I receive this as an email, and I will reply to you via the email address you include in the form.
If you sign up/subscribe to my email newsletter I will contact you about classes, workshops and other events e.g. workshops. When you first sign up you will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org asking you to click on a link to confirm you do want to subscribe. If you choose to not click on the link you won't be subscribed. If you click on the link you will be subscribed but you can opt out of receiving future newsletter emails at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting me via email at email@example.com
Before you join a class or workshop I'll ask you to complete a student registration and health form. The form includes your contact details and health information. This information is held securely. I will keep your student registration and health form securely for up to 7 years after you have last attended a class or workshop. If you complete a student registration and health form but don't attend any classes or workshops I will delete it after 1 year (in case you decide to attend a class or workshop in that time).
If you give me any further personal information, including any information about your health, I will treat that in the same way as I treat the student registration and health form.
I will usually reply using the same contact method you use to contact me, e.g. if you send me an email I will reply via email, if you send me a text I will reply via text etc. If you did not consent to that contact method on the student registration and health form then I will assume that by contacting me via that method you are now giving your consent for me to use that contact method in reply and going forwards.
I will keep your contact details unless you ask me to delete them.
I won't share your email address or any other personal information with anyone else. I do share a list of student first names and the initial of their surnames with my accountant, together with the date of the class or yoga event attended. I don't have any employees.
For Zoom and facebook live online events, please refer to the Zoom and facebook privacy policies.
I don't record student classes or events. If recordings are required for my professional training and assessment then the students attending those sessions will have given explicit consent.
I don't take photos of my students, and I don't allow anyone else to take photos during classes. The photos on the website are either photos of me, stock photos, or photos purposefully taken with the students explicit consent.
Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the lawful bases I rely on for processing your information are:
1. Fulfilling a contract (for class and event bookings, sending you payment invoices).
2. Consent (for email newsletters).
3. Legitimate interest (health information, notes from conversations, emergency contact information, if I need to contact you about class bookings, cancellations, changes to pricing, schedule or services).
You provide the information I hold via the student registration and health form, verbally or via other methods of communication. I will also keep notes from classes and events you attend.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, request information about the personal data I hold, have the right to rectification, right to erasure, right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, raise a complaint or ask any questions, by contacting Su via email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone / text 07743 855 837.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wimslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF. Their helpline number is 0303 123 1113. Their website is www.ico.org.uk
